This initiative was designed by the Department for Communities & Local Government and the charity Young Advisors. It trains young people from across England to be young people's champions; advising and demonstrating to adults, community leaders and decision-makers how to engage young people in community life, and in so doing are improving neighbourhoods.

The LT&RC employs a team of Young Advisors, for whom Jacqueline Macauley is the Southwark YAP lead.
Young Advisors can:
Sit on advisory panels;'Youth Proof' key documents;Help you make a decision about young people, use our voice;Promote the voice young people have;Participate in the decision making process.
