Trainers & Consultants:

Each member of LT&RC staff brings to the team a wealth of experience from a variety of industries and organisations, each with unique backgrounds, and all contributing to a dynamic, high-calibre team of specialists.

LT&RC has a dedicated training team who collectively have over 60 years of proven experience in training.

LT&RC staff:

Caroline Thwaites: Regional Manager

Thwaites provides strategic and day-to-day leadership, ensuring the development and delivery of high quality services within community renewal. Thwaites also leads on the development and sustainability of the Centre, working with a range of strategic stakeholders and plays a strategic role working with the other six regional Resource Centres. Since the late 90s Thwaites has worked within the public sector environment in different roles, spanning policy development, programme management and partnership development within community safety and social regeneration.

Denise Fermor: Training Manager

A natural communicator, Fermor is capable, adaptable and practical with a common sense approach to all aspects of her work, which provides effective solutions to a wide range of issues. Fermor has a wealth of knowledge in a variety of specialist fields, such as conflict management and personal safety, which can be linked to her experience as a Detective Constable in the Police Force. Fermor has also developed and provided input to service policies such as standard operating procedures, service manuals, health and safety and risk assessments.

Sue Madden: Internal Verifier

Madden is a qualified OCR and City & Guilds internal verifier and assessor, and has worked in the field of National Vocation Qualification (NVQ) for more than 17 years. She is an experienced training and development consultant and has worked in a variety of local government departments, managed a number of NVQ centres and currently oversees the Community Warden NVQ for LT&RC. As Internal Verifier Maddden has used her experience to ensure the highest quality service is provided to in-house and external clients and ensures procedures and actions meet the requirements of City & Guilds.

Patricia Lyon: Office Manager

Lyon oversees LT&RC's day-to-day operational management, bookings and financial administration. Previously having worked within the travel Industry for Thomson Tour Operations and Thomas Cook, Lyon's roles have centred on customer service (something which she is very passionate about) and in May 2004 Lyon joined Southwark to set up the Administration department for the Community Warden service (one of the largest programmes in the UK) and has supported the recruitment and the premise/accommodation strategy.
