Clean streets & a good place to live:

In the 2003/4 BVPI User Satisfaction Survey, clean streets were rated as one of the top three factors making somewhere a good place to live, above education and public transport. Furthermore, with national and international concerns over global warming, the ever decreasing shortage of landfill sites and local authority obligation to uphold S89 of the Environmental Protection Act 1990, there is a growing trend in London boroughs to train officers in a range of environmental issues and enforcement.

In response to this London Training & Resource Centre has developed a comprehensive package of support.

They will have an additional street briefing if working in partnership with other agencies. Each candidate will be observed and mentored whilst carrying out their role, and support will be provided where required. Feedback and guidance will be provided on performance and technicalities highlighted to ensure correct procedures are followed.
