This training focuses on controlling personal risks and defusing anger before it escalates into aggression. This course includes a practical element, and participants learn through training methods including short demonstration, skills practice, reflection and discussion.
Understand:
How to stay in control;Your own attitude to risk;The pathway 'triggers' to violence;The importance of risk management in reducing and preventing conflict situations;The skills to manage confrontation and violence;Contact & cover techniques;The importance of an exit strategy.
Helpful for: The course is a practical demonstration of techniques used to help delegates remove themselves from potentially violent situations.
Duration: 9.15am - 4.30pm, one-day.
