London Development Agency & Visit London 07
LT&RC were commissioned to develop a Level 2 Certificate and train front-line staff across London in tourism and specialist customer care (London Ambassador Training). This included course development and creating the learning standards and assessment methods. LT&RC managed a wider post-training programme involving the development of London Ambassador Network, piloting training with other groups, and marketing and promotions, including an online chat room for Ambassadors.
Department for Communities & Local Government 04
LT&RC was part of the national Resource Centre training group which worked in conjunction with CLG to support and professionalise the warden movement through training. The regional training group, including LT&RC, developed the Level 2 Certificate in Core Warden Training. This was developed as a five-day course, covering ten modules, with workbooks used at the end of each module to test the delegates' knowledge. This training is accepted nationally as the benchmark for wardens, with the majority of schemes across the UK having undertaken the certificate. The course has been found useful by a range of other staff, including caretakers and volunteer police officers.
Community Safety, LB Southwark 08
LT&RC was commissioned by the Community Safety Team within LB Southwark to develop an award specification for a Level 2 Certificate in Anti-social Behaviour. This work involved developing the learning specification and assessment tools for the customised award and liaising closely with ASB Officers in the local authority. The second phase involved supporting a cohort of practitioners through a tailored Train the Trainer programme in order to roll-out the course to a greater number of participants and to ensure quality of service delivery.
