Hazel Chooses Jacqueline

Hazel Blears meeting

October saw the first meeting at the Department for Communities & Local Government between Secretary of State Hazel Blears (above, right) and two Young Advisors selected by Blears to represent the voice of youth - one of whom was our very own Jacqueline Macauley (above, left).

The new Young Advisors panel will be an opportunity to influence or give a young person’s perspective on government decisions that affect young people. According to Blears, 'My youth advisers panel will champion young people, their views and ideas. I can hear first hand how decisions in Whitehall might affect young people to ensure their voice is heard.'

Said Stephanie Hamilton, LT&RC's Business Development Manager & Young Advisors champion, 'This is fantastic news for Jacqueline, who is talented, hard-working and confident in advocating for young people'...more
